Dear Parents, Guardians and Persons-Served,
During these uncertain times due to the COVID-10 pandemic, I want to let you know that we are doing everything in our power to keep the virus outside our doors, and everyone inside safe. Together we have managed to enjoy our program, even with its many changes and restrictions, in a healthy environment.
Our agency is following ALL of the guidelines established by the State of Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities, The Mahoning County Department of Health, and the Centers for Disease Control. As part of those guidelines, we are reporting to the local health department any staff, drivers or persons-served who have been considered in close contact to others that may test positive for COVID-19. We are then following guidelines for quarantining and returning to the day program.
As part of this process, we must maintain the confidentiality of those who have had close contact, have tested positive or are waiting for test results. This is a stressful process, as anyone who has been touched by this virus can attest. I understand, and will try to balance following the guidelines while maintaining everyone’s confidentiality.
If you have any questions or want to confirm information you may have heard, please contact me directly. Your understanding and patience are deeply appreciated.
Sincerely,
Betsy Zarbaugh / Director
